PVC Cable

PVC Cable (Polyvinyl Chloride, Rigid PVC, Semi-rigid PVC, Flexible PVC, Heat resistant PVC)

In many applications for cables, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is used as both an insulator and an outer jacket material. PVC is widely used because the electrical characteristics such as the electrical insulating properties or the dielectric constant are excellent.

PVC is also very durable and a long lasting construction material which can be used in a variety of applications either in a rigid or a flexible form.

PVC’s major benefit is its compatibility with many different kinds of additives, making it a highly versatile polymer. It also has good impact strength and weatherproof attributes making it ideal for construction products.

It is also an intrinsically flame retardant material due to the presence of Chlorine within its make-up.
