Custom Cable, Bespoke Cable

What is a Custom Cable? A Custom Cable is a cable that is specifically designed and manufactured to meet a specific Customer's application. Each Custom Cable incorporates unique components and not only performs it's electrical requirements but also works in the desired environment. To be able to manufacture a Bespoke Custom Cable requires a full dialogue with the end Customer to establish all of the specific criteria needed to ensure the Custom Cable meets both performance and cost requirements.

With wide experience in the Automotive, Instrumentation, Medical, Offshore and Military sectors, CDC Ltd are looking to further develop these and other specialist sectors. Our detailed knowledge of cable construction can be used to help customers identify the most cost effective way of meeting your own specific custom cable needs. Our Custom Cables are constructed from Class 5 Flexible Plain, Tinned or Silver Plated Copper and Insulated in appropriate grades of PVC, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, or PTFE all to UL or BS Specifications.

The Wires are then laid up on either our High Speed Double Twist Buncher or on our Large Planetary Lay Up machine both with inline tapers. We offer individual or collective Aluminium Foil Screening, Lapp or Woven Braid in Tinned, Plain, Oxygen Free or Silver Plated Copper. We can also provide Galvanised steel wire Braids and Steel wire Armouring. The cables are then Sheathed in a wide variety of compounds including PVC, LSOH and Polyurethane and more to meet individual customer preferences.
